After traveling to the Dominican Republic and realizing the impact we made, our club decided that it is time to give back to our local community throughout a project that would benefit people in the Greater Rochester Area.
Our plan is to implement our water collection system in taproots, and eventually expand to the other greenhouses in our area.

Partnership with Taproot Collective
Our chapter is aiming to bring change to the Rochester community throughout our local project. Over the past two months, we have been working with Taproots, a non-profit organization based in Rochester, in order to help it provide locally produced food more efficiently to the local community. Located next to the Rochester public market, Taproots' main focus is growing food in their greenhouse, and distribute it to the local area.
Our mission is to implement a sustainable water collection and distribution system, suited for the cold weather, by the end of this semester in order to minimize their water consumption, and increase their yearly yield.
