About Us
Engineers Without Borders - University of Rochester (EWB-UR) is a student-run non-profit organization dedicated to bettering the global community through providing sustainable solutions to infrastructure and engineering problems in developing and disadvantaged areas, as well as providing community outreach and raising awareness in the process.

Our mission
The University of Rochester Chapter of Engineers Without Borders (EWB-UR) seeks to partner with developing communities worldwide in order to improve their quality of life through the design and implementation of sustainable engineering projects. We provide an environment for students to apply their academic skills to real world problems in an internationally responsible and globally beneficial way. Our vision is a world in which all communities have the capacity to meet their basic human needs.

Club Structure
Publicity Committee

Responsible for maintaining presence of UR-EWB on-campus and in the community through social media advertising (Facebook & Instagram), monthly newsletter, and multimedia marketing.

Program Committee
|
Responsible for the organization and implementing of all program related elements. Most of the committee's responsibilities include assessment, design and implementation.

Events Committee
|
Responsible for outreach, education, and planning on campus events for UR-EWB. Also works to develop UR-EWB's presence on campus and in the community through fundraising and awareness events.

Fundraising Committee
|
Responsible for raising money for our program/current project! Works on tabling, event planning, and donation organizing.

We're always looking for new members! If you go to the University of Rochester and are interested in becoming a member of an organization that is both fun and extremely rewarding, you should seriously consider joining our club. We are looking for students of all majors and backgrounds to help our causes.
